Tips for Gathering Plants / Herbs
~ Herbs are used in a variety of ways and each herb is best used in specific ways. Methods on how to medicinally prepare plants are located on the Preparation Methods page. Also, it is recommended that You use only ceramic, glass or wooden materials and cookware when preparing herbs, as many metals will chemically alter the healing properties of most herbs.

~ Only pick or dig every third plant that You find. This will ensure that enough specimens remain to continue propagation.

~ If You find a wild crop of useful herbs, it is recommended that You do not share its location unless it is a person close to You or whom You have solid trust in. This will ensure that large numbers of people do not clean out an entire wild crop in a short time.

~ You should be able to identify plants native to the area You live in. It is strongly recommended that even if You are fortunate to have a Phsyician’s Hall, that You learn AT LEAST the plants and properties indigenous to Your area as You never know when emergencies will arise.
